Brian R. Davey

    Brian received his B.S. in l979 from the University of Rhode Island.  In order to pay off his undergraduate loans, he accepted a position with the National Rail Passenger Corporation and thereafter entered St. John's University School of Law, Evening Division, in September of l983.  He received his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law and was admitted to practice in New York State in December of l987.  During that last two years of law school Mr. Davey was employed full-time by this firm as a legal assistant. From December of l987 to December 1997, he was associated with Mulholland Minion Duffy Davey McNiff & Beyrer.  Brian Davey became a partner in the firm in January 1998 and became managing partner in September 2000. Approximately 85% of Brian’s focus involves defending construction and NY Labor Law suits, sex abuse claims, medical and professional malpractice and general liability lawsuits. The balance of his practice is devoted to insurance coverage issues and appeals. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and the American Association for Justice. He is on the Board of Directors of the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association and the Defense Association of New York (DANY). Brian was also an adjunct professor of law at Touro Law School where he has taught Products Liability and Insurance Law courses. 

John A. Beyrer

  John has been associated with the firm since 1996, where he has been actively involved in all phases of the firm's practice. He was made a partner in the firm in May of 2003. He has tried numerous cases for the firm. John primarily handles the defense of construction injury lawsuits, products liability, municipal liability matters, defense of transportation entities, and legal malpractice suits; and employment claims. 

He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Nassau Bar Association, Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association and the Defense Associates of New York (DANY).

He is a 35-year member of the Rockville Centre Volunteer Fire Department.  He is President of his Fire Department Company.  John is currently serving as General Counsel to the Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  

Morgann C. McCarthy

  Morgann became a partner in the firm in 2024. She is co-chair of the firm’s labor law group. Her clients include the largest construction companies in the country and Fortune 500 companies. She also represents companies in high exposure trucking/logistics cases. 

Morgann is co-trial counsel in all types of high exposure cases including New York State Labor Law cases, wrongful death cases, cases involving traumatic brain injury and damages only trials. 

Morgann engages in all aspects of civil litigation involving the following types of cases:

· Labor Law;

· Trucking/logistics;

· Automobile Accidents; and

· Wrongful Death.

Kevin R. McNiff

Kevin is co-chair of the firm's Labor Law Group. Kevin is choice counsel to a number of the largest construction companies both globally and domestically. He is also choice counsel for Fortune 500 companies and other publicly traded companies for their trucking/logistics claims and claims involving New York State Labor Law. He is a premier trial lawyer who is often retained as trial counsel by insurance companies and their insureds on all types of high exposure cases involving New York State Labor Law, trucking/logistics, wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, damages only trials and other catastrophic injuries. 

Kevin has obtained defense verdicts in venues that are thought of as some of the most difficult in the country. Kevin is often on trial in cases involving plaintiffs that have undergone multiple fusions and multiple arthroscopic procedures with claims of traumatic brain injuries along with significant economic claims. 

He regularly defends his clients in all aspects of civil litigation involving the following types of cases: 

• Labor Law; 

• Construction Defect; 

• Trucking/logistics; 

• Premises Liability; 

• Automobile Accidents; and 

• Wrongful Death. 

He also has extensive experience defending doctors in medical malpractice actions.
